Suitcase and travelset ready?
As soon as Spring is coming, I’ll get the travel jitters. Days are getting longer, you hear birds in the morning and start orientating on the Summer holidays. I was trying to find out for myself: what is the best way to prepare for Summer?
Most people associate summer with time off for a vacation. But we all have different ideas about the ideal summer holiday. For some of us it’s a dream, while others are not very eager to ‘enjoy’ the vacation. No matter what your perspective is, I gathered some tips on how to get prepared for vacation. Note that the fragrance papaya-lemon directly gets me in sunny spheres!
- Slow down
To maximize the vacation effect and get in the ‘zen-modus’ from day 1, you need to gear down, starting as soon as possible. The first step should be to prioritize your to-do list; what needs to be done before you leave and what can wait until you are back?
- Digital detox planning
Decide for yourself: are there moments in which you really need to be available and when can you enjoy your out-of-office silence? Of course the best thing to do is, to be as disconnected as possible.
3. Practise yourself in doing nothing
In our productivity focused society, it is difficult to do nothing at all. But don’t feel intimidated. Cast away you efficiency fixation and slow down during your vacation. Advice? Read books. They will easily distract you.
- Prepare your travel set
What I always do, is looking for my suitcase and start filling it as soon as possible. Do not forget to take your bodycare products with you on holiday. I never forget my Fruit Emotions travel set! Because, when on holiday (or weekend trips) I want to have my favorite bodycare products with me: my own shower mousse, body lotion mousse and body mist – all in travel sizes. My favorite summer fragrance is papaya-lemon. This fresh scent completes my summer experience.
