Lime is refreshing in a mojito and many other summer drinks, but did you know they are also great to be used in bodycare products?
This fruit is related to the lemon and orange. The fruit belongs to the family of citrus fruits. The difference between a lemon and a lime is that the pulp of the lime is much stronger in fragrance, but also more juicy than that of a lemon. Did you know that the juice can also prevent the coloring of apples, bananas, pears and avocados?! It is true! If you have limes make sure you do not through away the peel, because you can use these parts of this fruit as a taste maker in a sauce or cake dough. Besides this the fruit is rich in vitamins: 100 grams of lime account for 88% of the recommended daily amount of Vitamin C.
During the day you might have enjoyed a delicious mojito on the beach, read a book nearby the water or in the sun. Before dinner you might want to refresh yourself in your (hotel)room. And lime is the perfect ingredient to do so, it creates a refreshing feeling on the skin. You can cover yourself with the shower mousse for a fragrance sensation in your bathroom, when applying the desired amount on to your body a fresh lime and lemon scent appears, followed by a floral middle note and the the scent of tonka and vanilla follows. Afterwards a body butter, body lotion or body mist can be applied for the same fragrance experience.
In short: this beautiful green fruit is great for your skin and a nice refresher during summer time.
